Claude’s desktop app and CLI scatter caches, sessions and account traces across several directories, and deleting them by hand risks both leftovers and collateral damage. CCBaga is a desktop toolkit by the developer liseami, open-sourced on October 11, 2026 and written in Rust with Tauri 2 under the MIT license, that puts two jobs in one workflow: reviewing and removing Claude’s local data, and aligning browser fingerprint, time zone and language with a chosen region before verifying the network exit item by item. The repo collected about 650 stars within a day of appearing (as of October 12, 2026); the latest release, v0.2.17, shipped on October 12. The most interesting design is the two-app split — CCBaga-A owns native operations while CCBaga-B is a Fingerprint Chromium build with a dedicated profile, and measurements travel back to the cleaner over a local loopback session, so changing a setting and verifying its effect stay separate steps.

Core features

  • Claude local cleanup: scans caches, account traces, sessions, configuration remnants and existing backups for per-item selection; project source, skills, plugins, hooks and MCP settings stay untouched by default. Deletion is permanent — no Trash, no recovery copies — and the latest scan must be reviewed before anything runs.
  • Fingerprint rotation: generates a fresh seed, applies the selected region’s language and time zone, then restarts CCBaga-B. The browser engine is a pinned Fingerprint Chromium 148.0.7778.215 from the upstream fingerprint-chromium project.
  • Environment checks: compares browser readings and machine settings against the actual network exit (ipwho.is, with ipapi.co as fallback); the green checkmark page appears only when every measured item passes. The README is upfront that DNS and WebRTC leak checks are not independently verified and a green page is not an anonymity guarantee.
  • System settings: applies time zone, preferred language and region; changing the time zone on macOS needs administrator authorization. Picking a region never changes your public IP.
  • AI-guided network setup: three steps — VPS, residential proxy, install the Skill. Paste the generated prompt into your own coding agent (Codex, Cursor, OpenCode or Copilot) and it handles paths, commands and checks; the app never touches SSH keys or proxy credentials. The provider buttons point to DMIT and Webshare and carry referral codes.
  • Claude Code CLI management: detects whether the CLI came from the native installer, npm or Homebrew; uninstall and reinstall keep settings, skills, sessions and project files.

Typical use cases

  • Before reinstalling the OS or switching machines, wipe Claude’s local data without losing sessions and skills — a login reset or cache-only cleanup beats digging through directories by hand.
  • Cross-region users who need the browser environment to match the actual exit: after changing time zone and language, the built-in check page confirms that browser readings, machine settings and network exit all agree.
  • Anyone who would rather not hand-write Xray/Reality config: let a coding agent follow the Skill’s prompt on your own VPS, with remote changes gated behind an approval.

Quick start

macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon: download one DMG from Releases — it carries both apps. Linux x86_64 gets DEB, RPM, AppImage and Arch packages. There is no Windows build and no Intel macOS build.

# macOS: open the latest release page (v0.2.17 right now)
open https://github.com/liseami/CCBaga/releases/latest
# Drag both CCBaga-A.app and CCBaga-B.app into Applications, then launch CCBaga-A

CCBaga-A starts the companion browser on launch, and the sidebar switches between English and Chinese. Run a Claude cleanup scan once to see what it finds before deciding the scope; fingerprint rotation restarts CCBaga-B, so save any browser work first.

Summary

CCBaga suits people who use Claude daily and care about local data and environment consistency; if you live in the web app and have no multi-region needs, most of it will sit idle. Know what you are agreeing to: cleanup is permanent and selected backups go with it; the green page only means the measured checks passed — the README explicitly promises nothing about account acceptance; network setup requires your own VPS and residential proxy, and the Skill only supports authorized Debian 12/13 servers. Where ECC tends the workflow side of Claude Code, CCBaga tends the data and environment side; the item-by-item verification idea rhymes with the Web-Check site reports. MIT-licensed, and official builds come only from liseami himself.
